CANADA NEWS
Editorial Standards
Canada News holds itself to clear editorial standards. This page explains how we gather, verify and publish our reporting.
Accuracy and sourcing
Every article draws on primary and authoritative sources wherever possible: government publications and databases, official announcements, court and regulatory filings, police reports, and on-the-record statements. Data-driven content — such as lottery winning numbers and government payment dates — is checked against the issuing authority (for example, provincial lottery corporations and Employment and Social Development Canada) before publication.
Timeliness
News moves fast and so do we. Time-sensitive content such as draw results and payment schedules is published as soon as it can be verified, and dated clearly so readers know exactly how current the information is. Evergreen guides show both a publication date and a last-updated date.
Attribution and bylines
We credit the sources of our reporting. Articles are published under the Canada News editorial byline, with dates and times displayed on every story.
Independence
Canada News is editorially independent. Advertisers and commercial partners have no influence over editorial decisions, coverage or headlines. Sponsored or paid content, if ever published, will be clearly labelled.
How we produce content
Canada News uses a combination of editorial workflows and automation-assisted tools to publish high-frequency information — draw results, payment calendars and data tables — quickly and consistently. All automated output is reviewed against official sources before publication, and substantive editorial content is curated and edited by our team.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it — visibly and promptly. See our Corrections Policy for details.
