Corrections Policy
Canada News is committed to publishing accurate information and correcting errors quickly, transparently and respectfully.
How to report an error
If you believe we’ve published something that’s wrong, email [email protected] with “CORRECTION” in the subject line. Please include the article’s URL and, if possible, a source that documents the correct information — this helps us verify and fix faster.
Our correction process
Verified factual errors are corrected in the article itself as soon as possible — typically within 24 hours of confirmation. The article’s updated timestamp reflects the change.
For significant errors — wrong winning numbers, incorrect payment dates, or a material mistake of fact — we add a correction notice at the foot of the article explaining what was corrected and when.
Lottery results and financial dates
Winning numbers and government payment dates are time-sensitive and are double-checked against official sources. Even so, our results pages are informational — always confirm winning numbers with your provincial lottery corporation and payment dates with the CRA or Service Canada before acting on them. If our numbers ever disagree with the official record, the official source is authoritative and we will update immediately once notified.
