Three government payments land in Canadian accounts over the next two weeks — starting with the Canada Child Benefit on Tuesday, October 20, followed by CPP and OAS on Wednesday, October 28.

CPP and OAS share identical payment dates in 2026, so recipients of both see both deposits on the same day. With direct deposit, funds normally appear on the payment date itself.
What about the GST/HST credit?
The quarterly GST/HST credit went out under a new name in 2026: the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit. The October payment was issued on October 5; the next quarterly instalment is expected in early January 2027.
